Yeni is an educator and cultural designer who loves to play at the intersection of learning, technology, and the arts — she hand-lettered and illustrated all graphics and visuals on this site!
Her 6 years as a K-8 Design Thinking teacher qualifies her skills in live classroom teaching, curriculum planning, and designing differentiated instruction. Her teaching philosophy prioritizes sensemaking through a constructivist lens; she weaves Ethnic Studies, culturally sustaining pedagogy, and Design Thinking into her everyday.
At the Harvard Graduate School of Education, she researched evidence-based strategies to design, facilitate, and continuously improve both formal and informal transformative learning experiences. There, she also gleaned deeper insights on psychological safety's role in optimizing playful, productive team collaboration for adults and students alike, while also exploring new media methodologies such as gamification and remote learning for the corporate sector.
